Quote threaded rod, nuts and bolts from the email they arrived in

Fastener RFQs are dense: thread size and pitch, length, grade, plating, origin, certs, sometimes a dozen lines with mark numbers from a drawing. Otto reads them the way you would, keeps every detail, and builds the quote while you do something else.

Built around how fastener RFQs actually look

A line like “400 pcs 1/2-13 × 6 ft B7 all-thread, domestic, MTRs required” stays exactly as the customer wrote it. Otto keeps the full description, mark numbers, drawing references and the customer’s item numbers on each line instead of squeezing them into a generic product code.

Each line gets its own confidence score. A line that could be read two ways, or a quantity that doesn’t add up, goes to your review queue with the reason attached. It is never filled in with a guess.

Your suppliers, your markup, your paperwork

Otto drafts the RFQ to the suppliers you choose for that material and keeps your customer’s name out of it. When a supplier replies, the prices and lead times are read straight from their email.

Your markup is applied in code, not by the AI, and every line shows where its price came from and when. The quote PDF carries your company name, your default material origin, lead time and FOB point, and the tax wording you set for that customer.

When the purchase order comes in

Customer PO PDFs are read and matched back to your quote by job or PO number. If the quantities, prices or lines don’t match what you quoted, the order stops until you accept the differences.

Requirements on the PO, such as MTRs, certificates of origin or a packing list, become a checklist on the order, so nothing ships without the paperwork.

Approve from the warehouse floor

When every line is priced, your phone shows the customer, the total and the margin, with a Send button. One tap sends the PDF from your own Gmail and adds the estimate to QuickBooks Online.

Questions

Does MySourceBot need my full fastener catalog to work?

No. It prices from your suppliers’ quoted costs and your own price list, then applies your markup. Lines without a known cost are flagged for you instead of priced with a guess.

How does it handle domestic versus import and MTR requirements?

Origin and certification requirements stay in each line’s description exactly as the customer wrote them, and your quote shows the default material origin from your settings. On purchase orders, requirements like MTRs and certificates of origin are captured as a checklist on the order.

Can it quote mark numbers from a drawing?

Yes. Mark numbers, drawing references and the customer’s item numbers are kept on each line, so your quote and their RFQ line up item for item.
